How good is the new 2012 Ford Focus?

I’ve read some pretty good reviews of the 2012 Ford Focus but Scott Burgess over at DetNews.com now claims the car is the “single best compact car in the world.” That is a very strong endorsement of this new Focus and I can neither agree or disagree because we haven’t reviewed the new Focus yet but this surely raises the bar for her rivals.

Burgess goes on and on about the eye catching looks, nice little touches and just about everything else that has anything to do with the new Focus. If car buying consumers come even close to agreeing with Burgess the new Ford Focus could be a Grand Slam for the Blue Oval!

Everything is all upside-down.

When January sales figures arrived last week, the automotive conventional wisdom was spun on its head. The Ford Fusion outsold the Honda Accord. Chevrolet sold nearly 30 percent more Cruzes than Toyota sold Priuses. What’s going on?

For years, millions of people have been saying American automakers couldn’t make a decent car. That only proves the point that millions of people can be wrong.

Now, Ford Motor Co. is rolling the 2012 Focus out to dealerships. This car will prove yet another point: Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne builds the single best compact car in the world.

The Fastest Camaro Ever: 2012 Chevy Camaro ZL1

Check this out from our friends at From Sub5zero.com:

Well, we now have a Camaro that’s enough to make some Corvette owners jealous. It’s the all-new 2012 Camaro ZL1. Chevy introduced the Camaro at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show today, and it’s calling it the “fastest and most technologically advanced Camaro ever built.” Mighty impressive words to describe a car that’s already a classic.

While specs are still not finalized, Chevy predicts that the ZL1 will pull 550 ponies and 550 lb-ft of torque out of its all-aluminum, 6.2-liter LSA V8 engine. That output will be directed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission and will make the ZL1 the fastest Camaro ever built.

This is awesome news for Camaro fans. Read the full article and check out more photos and videos. If you can’t afford the new one you can always search for used Camaros for sale. With so many new Camaros on the market you can probably get a good deal!

2011 Lincoln MKX AWD Review

The Lincoln MKX was redesigned for 2011 and there is no doubt that the 2011 model is a huge improvement. As Lincoln plows forward with an aggressive overhaul of the brand, the 2011 Lincoln MKX AWD should keep its place at the table. The MKX is much more than a rebadged Ford Edge. The 2011 Lincoln MKX is a full blown luxury crossover.
Exterior

The first thing you see on the 2011 Lincoln MKX is the new grille, fenders, lamps and hood, which come together for a very sleek look. Also new for the exterior in 2011 are rear individual LED tail lamps, new wheels, new exhaust outlets and a new lift gate. Our MKX was Red Candy Metallic with 20″ chrome clad aluminum wheels. All together, the crossover was a big hit with admirers on the road. With the new rear tail lamps, dual exhaust with chrome tips, and the rear spoiler the MKX takes on a classy yet sporty look. Again, the new grille, which Lincoln likes to refer to as a “split-wing grille,” is a big change on this vehicle. I feel Lincoln got it right this time as the grille set the tone for the entire exterior finish!

Ferrari FF ‘Fast Four’ New Photos, More AWD Winter Testing Shots

You know the world is becoming a better place when Ferarri’s new flagship will sport AWD!

From AutoGuide.com:

Ferrari has once again released a smattering of photos of its new flagship, known tentatively as the FF or Fast Four. The name of course is a reference to the fact that this is the Prancing Horse’s first-ever AWD-equipped car.

The successor to the 612 Scagliettei, the FF maintains seating for four and even offers genuine cargo room thanks to the almost wagon-like design.

But enough about practicality, the FF also gets a direct-injection 6.3-liter V12 engine with 651-hp and 504 ft lbs of torque, enabling a 0-62 mph time of just 3.7 seconds.

But that’s not all, with the FF promising improved fuel economy and reduced emissions thanks to the company’s HELE (High Emotion Low Emission) system that cut emissions by 23 percent in the California HELE Concept.

Ferrari will release additional information at the car’s world premiere at the upcoming Geneva Auto Show in March. Until then, check out the full gallery below and see AutoGuide’s 2011 Geneva Auto Show preview here.
