2011 KIA Sportage EX AWD Review

Gerardo Orlando of Bullz-Eye.com reviews the 2011 KIA Sportage EX AWD inside and out. Read what he had to say below.

The first time you see the totally redesigned 2011 Kia Sportage you’re going to be impressed with the design. This sporty crossover is a real eye-catcher with a sleek and modern look that makes you completely forget the previous versions of this vehicle. The Sportage was designed by Peter Schreyer, former designer for Audi who has taken over as the Chief Design Officer at Kia. I had the EX AWD version to drive for a week, and I didn’t want to give it back.

Exterior
The new Sportage looks great from every angle. The roof lines are low and create an aerodynamic look to the vehicle. Our test version was metallic orange, a color I wouldn’t ordinarily think of choosing, but it worked great on the Sportage without looking gaudy at all. I also loved the18-inch alloy wheels which add to the unique look of the vehicle.

The front of the vehicle is particularly striking. It’s similar to trends we’re seeing with other vehicles, with the headlights wrapping around to the side of the front end, but the overall look with the chrome front grill, the headlights and the front fog lights is truly unique.

2011 BMW 328i Car Review

Bullz-Eye.com reviews the 2011 328i Car Review!

BMW has been pulling in big sales from their 3 series design for many years, and with the targeted changes to the 2011 BMW 328i Sedan it appears the sales will keep on coming. After test driving a 2011 BMW 328i Sedan SULEV for a week we can understand why this car is one of the hottest entry level luxury vehicles on the road

Exterior
The BMW 3-series is like a family of rockstars that keep coming out with new hits. The 2011 BMW 328i Sedan SULEV we drove was crimson red with the sport package, which included 17-inch alloy star spoked wheels, halogen high and low beam headlights, corona headlight rings, chrome plated exhaust tips and halogen freeform front foglights. The muscular body of the 328i hasn’t changed a whole lot in the past few years. I guess when something looks fresh and also exudes confidence, why go overboard on the changes?

Interior
The interior of the 2011 BMW 328i Sedan SULEV is well thought out with a classic look and feel. The sport seats were beige dakota leather and fitting for a more expensive sports sedan than the 328i. The 3-spoke, leather-wrapped, multi-function steering wheel was the center of attention while driving but the dark burl walnut trim also stood out in the cabin of this stylish sedan. Some of the notable features in the interior of our test model were a service interval indicator with miles to service read out, engine start/stop button, automatic climate control, on board computer with Check Control vehicle monitor system, AM/FM stereo CD/MPS player audio system with HD radio and auxiliary audio input for portable music players. The cabin of the 328 isn’t that much different from the 335 we drove recently; both cars are well thought out with a great mixture of sports and luxury. Trunk space is sufficient but not huge – not something that will turn away potential buyers.

2011 Silverado 2500 4WD LTZ Crew Cab Review

Bullz-Eye.com reviews the 2011 Silverado 2500!

The 2011 Silverado 2500 4WD LTZ Crew Cab makes a great first impression with its muscular exterior. We are happy to report things only got better during our test drive. Chevy made some significant changes to the 2011 Silverado that continue to perfect an already great truck!

Exterior
The Steel Green Metallic 2011 Silverado 2500 4WD LTZ Crew Cab we drove was an imposing sight with 20-inch forged polished aluminum wheels, 6-inch tubular chromed assist steps, chrome rear bumper and bodyside moldings. For an even sportier look, the LTZ truck included chrome surround grille, cargo box illumination, solar ray deep tinted glass and front fog lamps. The crew cab was well balanced with cab forward design. With all of the chrome updates, the 2011 Silverado 2500 4WD LTZ Crew Cab stands out on the road and commands respect. Heavy duty trucks have come a long way and with the 2500HD LTZ, you can add good looks to the equation.

Interior
Gone are the days of bare bones interiors. Trucks now have options to assist us on all of our jobs, like the rear vision camera built into the rearview mirror. Our test model included auto dual-zone air, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power heated black leather bucket seats with memory, OnStar, Bose premium speaker system, USB port and the always handy steering wheel radio controls. The dashboard and control center were clean and classy and had features like XM radio, driver info center display, 12-volt auxiliary power outlet and sharp wood trim. The cabin was spacious and the the center glove box was large and sturdy, with an open storage right under the control center. The handles and knobs were tailor made for workers wearing gloves, but look sharp enough to take your girlfriend or bride out on a nice date.

At Chrysler – Sergio can say ” I did it my way”

Behind the scenes look at how Chrysler broke away from government control.

From AutoNews.com:

NEW YORK – On the morning of May 24, an upbeat Sergio Marchionne was combing his music library to compile a playlist for an employee event that afternoon at Chrysler Group LLC’s headquarters.

As the chief executive settled on Bruce Springsteen’s version of “Eyes on the Prize,” he received a phone call with long-awaited news: Chrysler finally repaid $7.6 billion of bailout loans from the U.S. and Canadian governments.

That day marked a new chapter in the comeback of the smallest of Detroit’s three automakers, the one the Obama administration wasn’t sure was worth saving back in 2009.

It was the Italian businessman’s deep involvement in Chrysler, and Fiat SpA’s willingness to put in $1.27 billion, that helped the company pull off one of the largest debt deals since the financial crisis — winning the backing of some of the same banks that were wiped out in its bankruptcy.

Investors who looked at the deal were initially skeptical about the large size of the financing as Chrysler still had to address concerns over its vehicle lineup and financial outlook, people involved in the process said. There were also questions over whether the company had really transformed itself.
