Mitsubishi Outlander still a solid crossover option

There are plenty of good options in the compact crossover space, but the Mitsubishi Outlander remains a solid option. Not too much has changed for 2015 but overall this offers good value for the price.

Fist off, the styling is very appealing with an attractive front end. The interior is also clean and functional. Basically the designers aren’t trying to win awards here. Instead they’ve created a sporty package that most consumers can appreciate.

The handling is fine, though it doesn’t have much power. If you really want performance you’ll have to look elsewhere are probably consider options outside the compact crossover segment. But this vehicle looks nice and is very practical with decent gas mileage, so it’s an option worth checking out.

The total cost of owning a car can be determined by several different factors. While the price you pay for the car is certainly a large factor, it’s not the only cost that needs to be considered. You must also consider how much it costs to maintain, insure and fuel the car.

Why Factoring These Other Costs Is Important

Why do these other costs matter when you’re determining the total cost of owning a car? Let’s say that you spent $1,000 putting new brakes on a car that you paid $500 for. With that additional cost, you have now effectively paid $1,500 to provide yourself with a vehicle. If you pay $500 a year over five years to insure the car, that will add up to an additional $2,500 to keep your car on the road. If you spend $100 a month on gas for your car, you will end up spending an extra $1,200 per year.

Here’s a peak at the 2015 Toyota Camry, and you can see that the front end had a very distinctive, all-new design. The Camry and the Toyota brand in general has taken some heat for bland designs in recent years as the brand seemed to rest on its laurels while upstarts like Hyundai released compelling designs.

The Peugeot 107 and its sister cars the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1 were fantastic city cars for first-time drivers and downsizers. The low entry prices, keen three-cylinder engine and fun chassis sold the car well and even now years after they first came out they still feel rock solid. Replacing the 107 then is no easy task.

As is the way with the automotive industry, it has to be replaced though, and the new version is going to be called the 108. So, what’s it like?
