ACB: HRE Wheels: The Birth of the Vintage Series

HRE Wheels: The Birth of the Vintage Series from StanceWorks on Vimeo.

As a recovering wheel addict, (I have a weakness for vintage BBS wheels) I continue to be drawn to a nice set of wheels on a well modified car. However, the wheels of my dreams are not the chrome monstrosities you’d find on a donk, but wheels with vintage motorsport pedigree. The problem though is getting older wheels onto newer cars. Sometimes old wheels just don’t come in the sizes and offsets needed for new cars. HRE has a solution though with their new Vintage Series of designs. What they’ve done is reinterpret classic wheel styles with current technology and sizes. Additionally, they’ve produced a video to show how just they do it too.

The results of this hard work are truly timeless.

Get Apocalypse Ready with Icon’s 1000 Collection

So, the apocalypse has happened. Whatever is going to be the cause- zombies, asteroid, disease, Justin Bieber’s new CD, etc.- it’s going to be bad. But there is a bright side. Think about it, all those empty roads, no distracted drivers, and an endless supply of recently abandoned motorcycles at your disposal. If it wasn’t doomsday, it would be motorcycle heaven. But, if your going to be riding around in the apocolyptic future, your’re going to need protection. You don’t want to crash and get taken by the zombie hoards do you?

Luckily, Icon has you covered. With their new 1000 collection, they have motorcycle gear that has been styled for the urban frontier. Stripped of logos, and stuffed with armor and attitude, these gloves, helmets, jackets, and boots are ready for battle. They even have t-shirts so you can look stylish while foraging for supplies. Icon has even gone the extra mile by customizing a few bikes to showcase the “post-apocalypse” look of the near future.

Best part is, you don’t have to wait for he end of the world since the gear is available right now. Check out Icon1000.com website for more information, and pictures of the customized bikes. Don’t wander around waiting to be attacked by zombies when doomsday comes, explore and attack the apocalypse head-on from the seat of a motorcycle.

Nissan Announces Project 370Z

Fans have been modifying Nissan’s Z car in garages around the world for going on 40 years. Now, Nissan is making it possible to modify a 370Z over the internet with their new Facebook campaign, and you don’t even need to own the car to participate.

“Project 370Z” works like this. Log onto facebook.com/nissanperformance. From there, vote for a variety of performance parts as they become available. Turbos, Superchargers, bigger brakes, or wings, the choices are all yours. The votes will then be tallied and the winning parts will be added to the car.

The final car will then be debuted at the annual Z car meeting “Z Dayz” event in North Carolina. You get all the rewards of customizing your own Z, and you don’t even get your hands dirty. Maybe the event will give you enough inspiration to modify your own Z car though.

2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec Review on Bullz-Eye.com

Hyundai’s Genesis is building quite a new reputation for itself, and with the new 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec, things can only get better. We had the chance to spend a week behind the wheel of the new R-Spec and have plenty to say about this sport luxury sedan.

Exterior
The R-Spec has the new look of the Genesis and some options only available on this model. The first thing I noticed on it was the unique 19-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, which look absolutely stunning. Also featured on our test model were HID Xenon adaptive cornering headlights with LED accents with dark chrome inserts to help the Genesis stand out from the rest. Combined with the platinum metallic paint job, this car was making impressions before we even stepped inside. For the front view, the grille has been enhanced, sporting a more aggressive front fascia with larger intake openings developed to make lasting memories for those checking out the car in their rearview mirror and heated auto dimming outside mirrors with turn signal indicators. The overall look of the 2012 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 R-Spec screams power and attitude!
