The future Lexus LFA

This future Lexus LFA is cool in so many ways including the finish. Here’s a sneak peak before the LA Show gets underway!

From Autoblog.com:

Along with a handful of other Lexus show cars, it showed up at our favorite Saturday morning car meet. The handler fired it up several times so the crowd could marvel at that V10 shriek. Reactions were mixed, mainly where price was concerned. We heard more than one person say that if it had a Supra badge and sub-$100K pricetag, it would be a killer. At four times that price, the Lexus badge just doesn’t seem to win as many people over. One thing almost everyone loved was that changeable display with the sliding center gauge.

Porsche Spider Gallery

For all of your Porsche Spider fans you are going to love what will be on display at the LA Auto Show. From AutoGuide.com:

But what really makes the Spyder special is its light weight chassis and more powerful engine. In total 176 lbs of weight has been cut from the car, to deliver a curb weight of just 2,811 lbs. Power comes via the same direct-injection 3.4-liter flat-six as in the Boxster S, but with a 10-hp jump to 320-hp. Combined with Porsche’s new dual-clutch PDK transmission, the car can hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds.

Camaro tops Mustang again

Looks like the old rivalry between the Mustang and Camaro is back in full swing with the Camaro beating the Mustang for 5 straight months. We’ll check back next summer to see what the battle looks like! The real winners here are the consumers with a choice between 2 fabulous rides!

The Camaro outsold the Mustang by more than 3,000 last month — the fifth month in a row that Chevy outsold Ford since bringing back the storied car this spring.

Per the Detroit Free Press:

The battle between the two cars has been raging since the original Camaro went on sale in 1966 as a rival to the Mustang, which had launched two years earlier.

GM officials say the Camaro might even outsell the Mustang this year, which would be the first time it topped the Mustang since 1985. Through October, GM has sold 47,233 Camaros — 9,236 shy of the Mustang.

The Camaro “definitely could overtake Mustang as the segment leader by the end of the year,” Susan Docherty, GM’s vice president of U.S. sales, told reporters last month. She added: “We will hopefully do that with only nine months worth of sales versus 12.”

The Ferrari 599 GTO

It’s nice to dream about cars we know we’ll never own so let’s add this Ferrari 599 GTO and place it right at the top! It might get rough though because Ferrari is reportedly only going to produce 500 of these bad boy.

This machine looks unreal….

Ferrari is reportedly taking pre-orders for an ultra-high-performance version of the already impressive 599 GTB. The vehicle, referred to as the 599 GTO on Ferrari’s ordering information, is rumored to be inspired by the 599XX track-only model that launched earlier this year at the Geneva Auto Show.

Not only would the 599 GTO get a more powerful V12 engine with anywhere from 680 to 700-hp (up from the standard car’s 611-hp rating), but it would also weigh anywhere from 100 to 150-lbs less. We expect a more light-weight race-inspired interior as well as carbon fiber body parts to help reduce the weight.

With just 500 models set for production the asking price would be closer to the $400,000 mark.
