GM changing for the better?
Whatever happens with GM in the future you can’t say they aren’t trying everything they can think of to drive sales now. This new idea appears to be a sound one and I say keep reinventing yourself GM and good things may follow. I can’t help but get the feeling that GM is really changing for the better!
The trucks left Friday for a 40-factory road show to bring some of General Motors’ newest vehicles to the company’s workers across the country.
It’s part of GM’s effort to give more workers a chance to test-drive the company’s cars and trucks, and possibly lead to new sales for the automaker.
GM sales were up 14% in January, but the company is still rebuilding after emerging from bankruptcy in July.
Vehicles — such as the Chevrolet Equinox midsize SUV and Buick LaCrosse sedan — should arrive Monday at the first stops: GM plants in Arlington, Texas; Shreveport, La.; Defiance, Ohio, and Tonawanda, N.Y.

Novitec Rosso has struck once again with an even more powerful version of the Ferrari 599 GTB. Thanks to some new turbine blades on the superchargers, some modified piping and a retuned ECU, the twin-supercharged V12 engine has been bumped from the last 808-hp tuning phase all the way up to 848-hp. Novitec claims a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 214 mph.
Painted in matte white and black and including all of the Novitec goodies, like a special aero kit, 20 and 21-inch wheels with a massive brake upgrade and a height adjustable suspension, Novitec will build just three 848 Race models.

Toyota “thing” getting even uglier
As this Toyota “thing” unravels you just can’t help but feel it’s going to get even uglier! And it continues to do so….
WASHINGTON — Toyota Motor Corp. “deliberately withheld relevant electronic records” that it was legally required to produce in lawsuits over SUV rollover accidents, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee said today.
Rep. Ed Towns, D-N.Y, said in a letter to the automaker that a review of documents subpoenaed from former Toyota lawyer Dimitrios Biller also shows Toyota may have “withheld substantial, relevant information” from federal regulators.

Ford trying to jump start economy
Ford is doing their part to jump start this economy with another announcement that will bring people back to work at The Cleveland Engine Plan with a $155 Million investment. They will be building the new and well touted 3.7 liter V-6 engine that will drop into the 2011 Mustangs!
Ford Motor Co. will invest $155 million in its Cleveland Engine Plant to produce the new 3.7-liter V-6 for the 2011 Ford Mustang.
The move is part of a broader push to introduce nine new engines and transmissions in North America this year. With today’s announcement, Ford is two-thirds of the way to its goal — investing a total of $1.8 billion to build six of those at factories from Mexico to Canada.
