The 2014 Geneva Motor Show has introduced some of the greatest cars we’ve ever seen this year. The Audi RS6-R Avant, Alfa Romeo 4C Targa, Audi S1, Audi TT, and Bentley Continental Flying Spur V8 are just a few examples.

But not all of the best cars were super fast or super engineered. No, some of the best cars were humble estates.

Take the Volvo Concept Estate, as an example. This is perhaps the best looking car to be unveiled, yet it’s a family car, designed for safety and comfort, not outright speed. Who would have thought that an environmentally conscious and safety conscious automotive manufacturer could have drawn the biggest crowds.

Lexus will introduce a new compact crossover concept car, the LF-NX, at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) this coming week. Highlights will include:

– LF-NX concept is powered by a new variant of the Lexus Hybrid Drive system tuned for SUV performance

– exterior design reflects a further evolution of Lexus’ L-finesse design language

– the front features a pretty extreme version of the Lexus spindle grille

– very muscular wheel arches

– interior mirrors the LF-NX’s highly sculpted exterior

Jaguar just posted this video to promote it’s new Project 7 concept car, which looks pretty impressive. Their definitely trying to play on the iconic Jaguar look from the early 1960s. Jaguar noted that the Project 7 will make a “dynamic debut” at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 12th. According to Jaguar, “Project 7 is a brand new design study based on Jaguar’s acclaimed F-TYPE – its all-new, two-seater, convertible sports car.”
