When you enter your garage, you don’t want to see tools all over the counters or on the floor and nuts and bolts everywhere. Fortunately, there are a few ways that you can organize your garage so that there is order to it no matter what you’re fixing or putting together. A garage cabinet is among the easiest options for organization. Since cabinets come in a range of sizes, you can find the ones that are large enough for all of the tools that you use and for all of the items that you need to store that you don’t want to keep inside your home. Tall cabinets with shelves are an option to consider for lawn tools that you don’t want to get knocked over or for clothing that you want to wear while working in the garage. Make sure you label the outside of the cabinets so that you know what is in each one instead of searching through all of them to find what you need.
You can easily organize your garage by putting the things that you often use in plain sight. Sports equipment and toys that your kids play with outside can be hung on one wall near the entry door of your home. Open containers that are attached to the same wall are an option as well for storing balls of all sizes and items that tend to get lost.
Hanging storage can be beneficial when organizing your garage so that you have space available to work on your counters. Invest in a pegboard so that you can attach hooks to hang baskets and other containers. You can also attach shelves of all sizes to the board so that you have somewhere to store smaller boxes and tools instead of keeping them on the counters. Hang tools with cords on the board as well as items that are in an odd shape and that don’t seem to have anywhere else to go in the garage.
