First Official Photos 2011 Dodge Charger R/T

Our friends at InsideLine.com have what appear to be the first official photos of the 2011 Dodge Charger R/T and it’s a beauty! The front facia is clean and mean showing off a lower stance and upscale look. The rear taillights include164 LEDs and are more true to the original Charger with a modern day freshness. There aren’t a whole lot of interior pics here but this new machine will come loaded with available technology including adaptive cruise control, a collision warning system, a blind-spot warning system, rear cross-traffic detection and a back-up camera.

I will go on the record right now with my opinion that the 2011 Dodge Charger R/T will be a big success for the folks at Dodge!

Seeing the redesigned 2011 Dodge Charger R/T against a moody CG background isn’t the thrill we thought it would be — probably because we’ve already pored over nicer photos of the car in a real parking lot, not to mention the GM-supplied I-75 spy shot, the SRT8 front fascia shot and the dramatic reveal of the Charger Pursuit law enforcement vehicle. Oh, and we’ve also seen the revamped interior, which Chrysler describes, but doesn’t reveal, in today’s press release.

2012 Chevy Camaro Z/28 turning heads

The Camaro and Mustang duel will go to a new level once the Camaro Z/28 is released. The new Camaro offering is reportedly going to boast a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 pumping no less than 556 horsepower which will put in within reach of the Mustang Shelby GT500. Our friends at Insideline.com were able to obtain some spy shots of these two beasts taking a few laps at the track!

Another 2012 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 sighting this week, and this time it was running shakedown laps with a 2011 Shelby GT500. Evidently, Chevy engineers have gotten wind of just how good the top Mustang has gotten, and are doing their due dilgence to ensure the supercharged Camaro won’t come up short in a burnout competition or anywhere else.

Last September we told you a resurrected Camaro Z/28, with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 making at least 556 horsepower, was about a year out, and as the months are fast running out, it shouldn’t be long before the official debut. It should be a very good auto show season.
