This new Volvo commercial featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme has become an online sensation. Watch it and you’ll figure out why. The commercial is intended to promote Volvo Dynamic Steering. I’m not sure how many people will get that message, but Van Damme will certainly benefit from this.
Jaguar just posted this video to promote it’s new Project 7 concept car, which looks pretty impressive. Their definitely trying to play on the iconic Jaguar look from the early 1960s. Jaguar noted that the Project 7 will make a “dynamic debut” at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 12th. According to Jaguar, “Project 7 is a brand new design study based on Jaguar’s acclaimed F-TYPE – its all-new, two-seater, convertible sports car.”
This new “Cyclist Detection with Full Auto Brake” from Volvo looks pretty interesting. I’m a little skeptical of the automatic brake feature. Yes, it can save lives, but it will be interesting to see how it works in the real world. As more of these “automated driving” features take hold, it will be interesting to see if car insurance companies will give lower rates if your car has these features.
Nissan has been a leader in the compact car segment with the Versa as it can offer the four-door sedan along with a hatchback. With the 2014 Versa Note we’re finally seeing the promised redesign for this vehicle, which looks much different that the four-door sedan.
As you can see the vehicle looks stylish, but it’s not overly quirky or funky. Nissan is much more focused on practicality and fuel economy with this vehicle, targeting mostly couples without children.

We’re now in an era where Super Bowl ads debut online instead of during the game, so I guess that’s one of many reasons why Mercedes chose the beautiful and incredibly popular Kate Upton to star in its new ad for the Mercedes CLA. Many have commented, however, that the ad is rather boring. Yes, Kate looks great as usual, but is this the best they could come up with for the CLA, which looks like an impressive vehicle?
