The New Peugeot 308 Hatchback – Safety Taken Seriously

No matter what you want from a car, you expect it to be safe. Peugeot have taken that to heart, and have aimed to impress with the new Peugeot 308 Hatchback 1.6 THP 250 GTi. This car, perhaps one of the best hatchbacks out at the moment, intercepts style and power with control and safety features. The overall result is a decent, everyday car that packs a punch but is still easy to control.

The beauty of this car is its many different specifications make it an excellent choice for so many different people. The 308 is one of those versatile cars that is perfect if it’s just you, as it’s not too big for just one person, or a couple. It boasts a sleek style inside and out, giving it the contemporary, smart/casual look that is seen on so many urban cars these days. Yet, it can also make a great family car due to its comfort, durability and excellent safety rating.

The 308 was awarded a 5 star safety rating by NCAP, which means that it is at the top of its game in terms of its safety features. It performed well in crash tests, and a combination of its substantial protective frame and multi-feature ESP braking system means that any damage caused during an accident is kept to a minimum. For those who are particularly safety conscious, you can add Peugeot Connect SOS for £240 and ensure that you can always be found if you breakdown or require assistance.

This doesn’t stop the fun, however. The 308 from Peugeot Sport has a GTi badge and boasts a 1.6 engine, available in two power outputs, 250 bhp or 270 bhp. It is a car that’s easily controlled but that doesn’t stop you from feeling the power building under your fingertips as you drive. All the 308 needs is a wide, open road and it will show you what it can do. And, with just 139 g/km CO2 emissions, it does it cleanly, too. Really, it’s everything you need to go about your everyday life easily and assuredly.

The new Peugeot 308 is actually a great car. With all its interior features and its GTi badge, it’s fun and modern. However, you know you’re getting something that is safe and secure. You should never have to compromise safety for fun and in this car, you don’t have to.
