Not that I want to correct anyone, but as most of us enthusiasts know only too well, new designs do not roll off the assembly line overnight, despite the wonderful new CAD design software available to designers today. The process still takes years, and not months to fully design, engineer, and then construct a new car.

That being the case, I feel it's hardly fair that all of these car buffs are apparently giving Tata credit for the new XJ.

In truth, the credit is due to Jaguar's designers, while under the corporate ownership of Ford Motor Company. If you want to credit the corporate entity behind this Iconic Marquee's latest sedan...at least get your facts right.

Ford also deserves much of the credit, plus acknowledgement of a billion dollar infusion into Jaguar's factory, for their great leaps in quality and reliability, over the tenure of their ownership.

Fair is fair, let's give the credit where the credit is due...and it belongs in Dearborn, MI
